If you are looking for how to clone a WordPress website to another domain, you’re in the right place. Many times, I’ve created websites on sub or test domains to build out the design before it goes live. This gives me freedom of time to make the website without any pressure from people seeing all my live edits.

Finally, when my new website design is ready to be uploaded, I’ll go ahead and follow the steps in this video to clone my new site, then upload it to my main domain name. This method on how to clone a WordPress website is also perfect if you’re rebranding your existing brand name to a new one. You can quickly clone the site, download the file and upload it to the new domain in less than 10 minutes, and you’re good to go!

Just one word of caution. If you do decide to move your website from one domain to another, be sure to either redirect the entire site using the plugin mentioned in this video to the new site or use a domain-level redirection. This will ensure you keep all the Google credibility you have created and send it to the new site.
